These plates can be bent to make self standing counter or window displays.
The dye sublimation process uses a special heat sensitive dye to print graphics and text onto a carrier sheet. The carrier sheet is then placed on a polyester coated aluminum sheet and both are placed into a heat press. With pressure and high temperatures, the solid dye converts into a gas without ever becoming a liquid. The high temperature opens the pores of the polymer and allows the gas to enter. As the plate cools, the pores close and the gas reverts to a solid state. Because the pigment becomes part of the surface coating, you cannot rub it off (unless you deliberately damage the surface).

Because your copy is produced digitally with laser printers, this process provides many benefits. The design can have very fine detail and be placed very accurately. 6 point text is produced without a problem.

Note:

All dye sublimation products are recommended for indoor use only.
Direct sunlight and other ultraviolet light sources will cause these products to fade over time.

We offer two methods of UV protection to extend the life of these products
when exposed to UV or used outdoors & exposed to the full weather conditions.

1. We can laminate these plates with a clear plastic UV inhibitor made by 3M.
The 3M sheet filters 93% of the ultraviolet rays that cause the fading of these products.

2. These plates can also be spray painted with an ultraviolet inhibitor known as Frog Juice.
We can spray these plates prior to shipping.
Or you can purchase Frog Juice in spray cans and spray them after mounting.
We have found that two coats work very well.

3. You can purchase Frog Juice from most silk-screen and sign makers supply houses.
